Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:35 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

The Chair made opening remarks.

The Chair laid out SB 1.

Testimony was heard on SB 1 � Article VII, Business and Economic Development.  Witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list.

 Lottery Commission

At 12:51 PM the Committee stood at ease.

At 1:00 PM the Committee reconvened.

Testimony on the Lottery Commission continued.

Senator Hinojosa assumed the chair.

Department of Motor Vehicles

Department of Transportation

Senator Huffman resumed the chair.

Workforce Commission

Reimbursements to the Unemployment Compensation Benefit Account

Department of Housing and Community Affairs

Senator Hinojosa assumed the chair.

 The Chair closed public testimony.

Senator Hinojosa moved that SB 1 be left pending; without objection, it was so ordered.

There being no further business, at 6:07 PM Senator Hinojosa moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
